Grants underway to promote technical cooperation with Flanders in 2024
Euskara. Kultura. Mundura.
The grant application process is now underway for technical cooperation projects with Flanders. Applications can be submitted starting 30 December until 29 January through the euskadi.eus portal.
The Basque Government and the Flemish Government joined forces to launch proposals to promote cooperation projects between stakeholders from both countries in 2024. This call for proposals is addressed to Basque stakeholders.
In 2021 and 2022 professional meetings were held between Flanders and the Basque Country to bolster relations in the areas of culture and creation. Throughout 2023, as part of the Vlaanderen - Baskenland (#Flenbasque) project promoted by the Etxepare Basque Institute, various cultural exchange activities and projects were carried out between Basque and Flemish artists and creators.
As Flanders is a member of the Network of International Strategic Partners of the Basque Country, the call is organised by the Basque Government’s Office for External Affairs. The call is for creators and cultural stakeholders from the Basque Autonomous Community and aims to promote technical cooperation with Flanders. The complete grant allocation is €50,000; however, the maximum amount that can be awarded per project is capped at €5,000.
The purpose of the call is to further develop cultural cooperation between FLANDERS - BASQUE COUNTRY in 2024 through the cultural exchange activities carried out in 2023.
