Maialen Sarasua’s "Zubi bat" was one of the projects chosen in 2014 by DSS2016 and Etxepare Basque Institute to be developed in an artist residency in Wroclaw. In the words of the author herself ...
"In Poland for the first time. An unfamiliar city, Wroclaw, and 20 days ahead.
During my stay I visited and recorded with my camera a number of common places for tourists and others not so well known. Landscapes of all kinds, all of which reflect the rich and turbulent history of Wroclaw.
I had the opportunity to meet with artists and technicians from diverse backgrounds and disciplines. It was a pleasure noticing the pronunciation of the different dialects in the voice of Joanna Skowronska, singer of old traditional folk themes, or learn another city with the help of the audio produced by of Soundscape Research Studio.
The artist residency was a trip through a special city in permanent change. And back from the journey I stared at Donostia again. From the trail that the days of Wroclaw had left in my eyes.
Two cities made one, under the very same look and in a single folded film ".
