The International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Bilbao, ZINEBI, celebrates its 66th edition from 8 to 15 November.
132 films from 44 countries will be screened, among them the documentary film ‘Le huitième étage. Jours de révolte’ by Quebecois filmmaker Pedro Ruiz. The session will take place on 11 November, at 19:30, at the Golem cinemas, featuring attendance by director Pedro Ruiz and producer Arantza Maldonado.
This special session dedicated to Quebecois cinema has been organised in collaboration with ZINEBI, Festival de Cinéma de la Ville de Québec (FCVQ), the Etxepare Basque Institute and the Québec Office in Barcelona.
In September, the FCVQ showcased Basque cinema, and now ZINEBI offers the chance to enjoy a Quebecois production in the Basque Country.
This exchange is part of Québec - Pays Basque, a programme promoted by the Etxepare Basque Institute and the Quebec Ministry of Culture and Communication, aimed at strengthening connections between artists, creators, festivals, and cultural stakeholders from both regions. It also has the support of the Québec Office in Barcelona.
