WOMEX , the most important international market of world music, will open its doors from October 24 to 28. This year the trade show will be held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, and the registration period is now open.

WOMEX , the most important international market of world music, will open its doors from October 24 to 28. This year the trade show will be held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, and the registration period is now open.

If you would like to perform as a showcase artist or DJ / producer, present your film or participate as a conference speaker or expert mentor, you can submit your proposal before Friday, 16 March 2018, through this link. 

Unparalleled in its diversity, the WOMEX programme is selected by jury based on proposals from music professionals worldwide; from innovation to tradition, acoustic to electronic, featured events span every continent, and include all sectors and areas of expertise.  As the most diverse music meeting in the world, WOMEX reaches out to the world music community and beyond. Anyone active in music can submit a proposal. Once again this year, music from the Basque Country will have its own space thanks to the Basque Music initiative.
