Three stories by Iban Zaldua, selected for the "Best European Fiction 2015" collection
Euskara. Kultura. Mundura.
Stories by two Basque writers have been selected for the Best European Fiction 2015 collection: Three stories of the writer Iban Zaldua and a tail by Aixa de la Cruz. This annual selection has gathered works of 30 international writers, and wants to give voice, once again, to minority languages.
This collection that has been published for five years brings new names and new work to an international audience with English translations, and shows that European fiction is alive and going strong. It also gives voice to works from smaller regions whose literature is often overlooked in favor of the major languages.
This year, the collection includes three small stories of Basque writer Iban Zaldua and a tail of Aixa de la Cruz -True Milk-, along with stories of other renewed writers such as Diego Marani, Vedrana Rudan or Pedro Lenz, among others. Best European Fiction 2015 takes its place among the major collections disseminating important voices throughout the English-speaking world.
