The Galtzagorri Association has received the Golden Feather prize

The Cámara del Libro de Euskadi has given the Golden Feather prize to the Galtzagorri Association, for their work in favour of children and youth literature. Iñaki Markotegi, head of the association, was given the award yesterday in the context of the 44^th Book Fair of Bilbao.

The group was founded in 1990, with the goal of fostering the reading among children and young people, and to promote this kind of literature. They asoosciation works  together with the Etxepare Basque Institute regarding the promotion and dissemination of the Basque children and youth literature outside the Basque Country, and we’d like to congratulate them for the award!

For almost 25 years, Galtzagorri has carried out different literary projects for the youngest audience. For example, the have created a database of different books orientated to children and teenagers, with specific information and comment of each one.

The association thanked all their partners for their support over the years.
