Thanks to the work of the Etxepare Basque Institute, in close collaboration with the Basque Country Delegation to the European Union, the Basque comic participates for the first time in the Brussels Comics Festival Fête de la BD / Strip Feest ,  from 4 to 6 September . This participation is carried out in partnership with the National Institutes of Culture as part of the European network EUNIC;  the Etxepare Institute became an associated member of this network in January 2015.

The international meeting in Brussels is, after French festival of Angoulême, one of the most important on the international scene. And it will have a specific space dedicated to Basque comic in the International Pavilion of the Park of Brussels (Place des Palais), in which the creators actively participate Dani Fano, Gregorio Muro and Maite Gurrutxaga, whose works are also displayed.

A large audience and the visiting industry professionals and editors will have the opportunity to know the wide production and creativity of the Basque comic sector, and also to participate in the workshops that the three Basque artists will offer at the weekend. On the other hand, the Basque creators will have meetings with international publishers and other professionals who have already shown interest in the Basque comic.
