Teatro Paraíso company at the IPAY, in Pittsburg

2014.01.13 The Basque Center for Creating Theatre for Children and Youth  Teatro Paraíso with bring its show “Kubik”, meant for 1 to 4-year-old children, to the IPAY, International Performing Arts for Youth 2014 , that will be held February 22 to 25 in Pittsburg (USA). They will join a selection of companies from Canada, Australia, Ireland and The Netherlands. In total, 17 plays will be shown in this relevant international showcase, one of the most important of its kind.

In total, 17 plays will be shown in this relevant international showcase, one of the most important of its kind.

This is the third time for Teatro Paraíso at the IPAY: in2011 they performed “(In the Garden) Lorategian”   –which later led to international tours through the USA and Canada in 2013-. In 2012 they played an extract of  “Kubik”, the show they will be presenting this year. These journeys have been financially supported by the Etxepare Basque Institute.

In 2012 Teatro Paraíso was rewarded with the Spanish National Award in Performing Arts for Childhood and Youth.
