Tabakalera-Morpho: International call for proposals

In the search of supporting and contributing to the mobility of artists, and encourage the cultural exchange and multidisciplinary amongst them, the curltural centers Morpho and Tabakalera launch a residency programme, in collaboration with the Etxepare Basque Institute.  

This call is addressed to artists developing their artistic practices within the Basque Country (the Basque Autonomous Community, the Autonomous Community of Navarre and the Comunautat d´Aglomeracion deu País Basco) who are willing to explore new artistic contexts in Morpho and expand their artistic trajectory whilst developing their practices. The terms and conditions of the call can be consulted here. The deadline for applications is 8 January. 

The residency, which will last eleven weeks, will offer space, context and time for the development of an artistic project. It will take place from October to December, 2024  in Morpho (Antwerp). 

From all the proposals received, one project will be selected.

Vlaanderen Baskenland 2023 

The initiative is part of the Vlaanderen - Baskenland project, which aims to strengthen ties between Flanders and the Basque Country in the field of culture and contemporary creation, and is the result of meetings between creators and cultural agents from both territories that took place in 2021 and 2022.  Vlaanderen Baskenland will give continuity in 2023 and 2024 to the cultural connections with strategic regions for Euskadi such as Scotland (Scotland Goes Basque) and Quebec (Saion Quebec Pays Basque).
