Sunny Side of the Doc: Basque. Audiovisual.

Seven production companies will represent Basque creation at the Sunny Side of the Doc, running from 20 to 23 June. Based in La Rochelle, France, this is one of the world’s leading documentary film markets, which year after year welcomes more than 2,000 professionals across 60 countries.

Basque professionals will once again make their mark at Sunny Side of the Doc – with different objectives in mind. As usual, Basque.Audiovisual. will be at the event to publicise the latest developments in Basque cinema and the different tax incentives available in our region. As on previous occasions, interested industry professionals will be able to consult all the works in the online catalogue created specifically for the event. The brand will be taking part in two important events as the festival opens on Monday: a networking day under the title ´Luncheon: Meet the Italian & Spanish Delegations´, and in the session ´Spanish Rendez-vous: meet our Docs´. During this activity, Mar Izquierdo, coordinator of Zineuskadi, will give a presentation and provide information on the Basque projects featured at the festival.

The seven Basque production companies attending the event with their projects are Doxa Producciones, with ´Cabeza y corazón´ and ´Itoiz_Udako Sesioak´; EsRec, with ´Testigos invisibles´; Lacørte Films, with ´Matxitxako. Notes on the Basque Auxiliary Navy´; Lumiere Produkzioak, with ´Aztarnak´; Maluta Films, with ´Ainarak´, ´Apaiz kartzela´, ´Hezurrak´ and ´Manolo Kabezabolo´; Sonora Estudios, with ´Grito invisible´ and ´Viento´; and TAUI Media, with ´Carlota´ and ´Tito Nazare´.
