Sectoral committees meet to review the year
2023/01/19
Euskara. Kultura. Mundura.
As every year, sectoral committees have been convened to take stock of last year´s cultural activities and draw up a programme for this year. The aim is to enable associations and professionals representing the audiovisual, music, plastic arts, performing arts and literature sectors to share their views and opinions; the five meetings will be held from 30 January to 2 February by sector.
The exact programme is as follows:
Monday 30 January: 10:00 - 11:30 Audiovisuals and 12:00 - 1:30 Literature and Translation
Tuesday 31 January: 10:00 – 11:30 Performing arts
Wednesday 1 February: 10:00 - 11:30 Music
Thursday 2 February: 10:00 - 11:30 Plastic and Visual Arts
There will be four main items on the agenda which will include a discussion of grants for 2023, and an assessment of last year´s grants. In addition to a preview of the year, the planned changes will also be addressed.
The committees will also work on the Basque ‘windows’, evaluating the actions of 2022 and announcing the plans for 2023. They will also discuss new projects such as those in Flanders and Japan.
As a result, the participants will gather to debate projects, learn about the next measures, and provide feedback. In reality, the primary goal of these discussions will be to solicit feedback from creators, since it is crucial to maintain tight ties with the creative sectors.
In this way, the Etxepare Basque Institute seeks to gain a better understanding of the situation regarding each sector and seeks continuous improvement through these opportunities for evaluation.
