Registration now open for seminar on minority language media at the University of Edinburgh

This international conference, organized by the Etxepare Basque Institute and the University of Edinburgh, will be held on October 16th and 17th. The registration is open starting today for those who want to either attend the seminars or participate as a speaker.
This international conference, organized by the Etxepare Basque Institute and the University of Edinburgh, will be held on October 16th and 17th. The registration is open starting today for those who want to either attend the seminars or participate as a speaker.
The event, entitled “Crowded out or limitless horizons? Minority language-media in the digital age”, falls within the framework of Scotland Goes Basque, a programme of Basque culture promoted by the Etxepare Basque Institute in Scotland in 2019. Its aims are to exchange knowledge and foster collaboration between academics and professionals working in minority-language media; the events will be held in English.
For anyone wishing to register up for the conference or requiring any further information, can do so on this website. The fee is £70 for working peoples and £70 for the unemployed, retired or students. The conference organisers will provide a light lunch and coffee for the two days. Participants are also welcome to register for an informal dinner on Thursday night 16th October. This is an optional event with an extra cost of £25.
