Program about Orality at the Sorbonne University in Paris

Miren Ibarluzea, the Basque Language and culture reader of the Etxepare Basque Institute at the Sorbonne Nouvelle III University in Paris has organized, together with her Catalonian and Galician counterparts, a program about orality in Paris, that will be held from March 27 to 29.
Oral Improvisation. Tradition and present time is the name of the talk scheduled om March 27, with several participants: the Galician Isaura Abelairas, Xosé Bieito A. Lobariñas Marta Souto and Josinho Da Texeira, the French Eric Beaumatin, the Catalonian Carles Belda and Joseph Marqués and the Basque representative, Miren Artetxe. On March 28 they will screen the film Bertsolari, and offer the opportunity to participate in a Q & A talk with the bertsolari -improviser of verse sung in the Basque language- Miren Artetxe. The program will finish with a bertso-gaua (verse-soiree) arranged at the Paris Basque Center / Euskal Etxea on March 29, with a the gender equality as leitmotif. Besides, Miren Artetxe and Miren Ibarluzea will show videos, sing improvised bertsos and give the audience the chance to sing along written bertsos
