Open deadline to send short films for "Jaialdi", in Boise!

Boise hosts one of the most important festivals on Basque culture in the world: Jaialdi. Because of the Jaialdi, the Modern Hotel of Boise has organized a ´Basque Film Festival´ -Euskal Film Erakustaldia-, and the deadline for sending short films is open until early July.

Those interested in sending their work can do so through this link (Code: NU4EI8W). Short films in any languages can be submitted, ifthey are subtitled in English.

The organizers will make a selection for Jaialdi among all submissions received, and all Basque shorts will be considered for the program of 39 Rooms Film Festival - organized by the Modern Hotel-, if the director so desires. If the films are new, they may also be considered for Sun Valley Film Festival.

Jaialdi started back in 1987 as a way to promote and sustain Basque culture in the United States and abroad; nearly 30 years later, it’s one of the largest Basque festivals anywhere in the world. This year, it will be celebrated from July 28 to August 2.
