Miami Book Fair: Patxi Zubizarreta

Organised by Miami Dade College, the Miami Book Fair is the premier literary festival in the United States. Every November hundreds of authors and thousands of readers converge at this eight-day event.
With the Etxepare Basque Institute’s collaboration, Basque authors will once again be present at the fair, featuring Patxi Zubizarreta as this year´s guest.
Patxi Zubizarreta (Ordizia, 1964) is an important figure in narrative in the Basque Country. He primarily writes children´s and young adult literature, but he also creates works for adults. Zubizarreta has won the Euskadi Prize for Children´s and Young People´s Literature on three occasions and received the Spanish National Prize for Children´s and Young People´s Literature in 2023 for his novel ‘Zerria’ (Erein), published in Spanish under the title ‘Porcus’ (Edelvives).
On Saturday 23 November, Patxi Zubizarreta will take part in the following events:
