Meeting with the Québec Delegate

Etxepare Basque Institute Director, Irene Larraza, and Québec’s Delegate in the Iberian Peninsula, Isabelle Dessureault met this morning to discuss joint projects between Quebecois and Basque institutions in the area of culture, including ‘Saison Québec - Pays Basque’.

This initiative, which began last March, seeks to highlight the excellence of creators from the Basque Country and Québec, foster collaboration between cultural stakeholders from both territories, promote the exchange of artists, creators and cultural industries, and strengthen collaboration between the two territories.

At the meeting, the details were discussed regarding the participation of Basque creators in Québec festivals over the coming months, and steps were taken to round out the programme for 2022. Larraza and Dessureault also talked about strategies aimed at raising the international profile of Basque and Québec films.
