Among other issues analysed in this first meeting were the participation of both institutions in cultural initiatives and institutions being developed in the Basque Country, the deployment and application of the Next Generation EU Fund, the development of the so-called ‘Artist´s Statute’, support for cultural projects in Basque, and policies regarding the internationalisation of Basque culture.
Taking part in the meeting in representation of the Basque Government were the Minister for Culture and Language Policy, Bingen Zupiria, Vice-minister for Culture, Andoni Iturbe, and director of the Etxepare Basque Institute, Irene Larraza.
