Euskara. Kultura. Mundura.

The 17 edition of the FIRA Mediterrània Manresa  fair is being held from October 9 to 12 in Manresa. This fair brings together different artistic diziplines: visual arts, circus, dance, exhibitions, music, storytelling and theater. This year the Basque groups Korrontzi and Kepa Junkera and the dance company Lasala will take part in the FIRA, with the support of the Etxepare Basque Institute.

The first two groups will offer concerts today, October 10. Korrontzi will perform in the space Taverna Estrella DAMM (Cuines Món) at 22:00. The group mixes Basque folk music and traditional dances, and is on tour to celebrate their anniversary. Kepa Junkera, however, has joined "Sorginak" to create a new project, and will perform together with Amadeu Rosell and Tururut Bonaigua, at 0:00.

On the other hand, on October 12 will be the turn of the dance company Lasala. They will present the show "Hooked" on the Kursaal Theatre at 11:30 and 13:30. The show reflects the constant human need to have an emotional connection with other human beings and the effects that this condition entails.

FIRA Mediterrània Manresa  is held annually since 1998 and has become a framework for exchanges between professionals who buy and sell shows. The artistic program is based on two key areas: popular culture and world-above music.
