The eighth edition of Hay Festival Querétaro will be held in Querétaro, Mexico, from 7 to 10 September 2023. The festival presents a diverse array of activities showcasing international, national and local talent. These offerings encompass discussions, interactive workshops, live concerts, and screenings. They cater to a broad audience eager to engage and take part, all while maintaining a strong connection to the hosting city.
Basque writer Eider Rodriguez will talk about her debut novel, ‘Eraikuntzarako materiala’ (Construction Material). This work has distinct elements of autofiction as it tells the story of a childhood and family life marked by the scars of her father´s alcoholism. The narrative delves into the complex dynamics between parents and their children and illustrates the role of literature in the reconstruction of memory and identity.
