Gorka Hermosa gets the "CIA IMC-Unesco Composition" award, for the second time

The Basque accordionist Gorka Hermosa has won his second consecutive CIA IMC-Unesco Composition Prize, given by the International Confederation of Accordionists. The jury awards the best composition of the year, ant this time they have rewarded work "Zheng Zai" ("Right Now"), composed by musician from Zumarraga.Congratulations!
Hermosa has won this prize for the second consecutive year, in Salzburg, Austria; last year he was awarded tanks to this piece “Paco”, dedicated to Paco de Lucía, that fused contemporary music with flamenco. The work recognized this year, "Zheng Zai", composed after a stay in Beijing, blends Eastern and Western Music.
Gorka Hermosa has released three solo albums and has participated in over 40 projects. He became the first accordionist to perform with the Symphony Orchestra of Spain, and he offers regularly solo concerts throughout Europe and Asia; he has also perfors with renowned musicians such as Ara Malikian, Paquito D´Rivera, Luis Auserón ...
