Etxepare Basque Institute to name Best Album in Basque at MIN Awards

The MIN Independent Music Awards are open for nominations. One of the categories each year is Best Album in Basque, awarded by the Etxepare Basque Institute. The deadline for nominations is the 18th of this month.

This year the MIN Awards will be held in Pamplona on Wednesday 27 April 2022. The capital of Navarra will host the gala event in a spectacular venue, the Navarra Arena, with seating capacity of over 3,000.

After last year’s success in Burgos, the national association of independent music companies in Spain, Unión Fonográfica Independiente, continues in its effort bring independent music to all parts of the Iberian Peninsula. For that reason, it has made the MINs a travelling event.

The application period for this 14th edition is now open for all artists and independent recording labels who wish to present albums, EPs or singles, either self-produced or released during in 2021. Record labels, music publishers, artists or managers may apply by visiting the MIN Awards website.

In the next stage the public will vote to narrow down the 15 semi-finalists in each category, after which a professional jury will choose the final nominees. The awards will be presented at the gala ceremony on April 27th.
