Working with universities and institutions in the Basque Country, we organize courses on methodology, strategies and resources for learning and teaching Basque as a foreign language.

Each year the Etxepare Basque Institute brings the teaching staff from partner universities together to update teaching tools and materials, share experiences and strengthen coordination.

Excellence in Basque Studies

The aim of this course, which we organize in Donostia as part of the University of the Basque Country Summer Courses, is to provide quality training for current and future teachers. The course features guest lecturers with expertise in areas relevant to Basque language and culture.

Training course for teaching Basque at institutions of higher education abroad

This course is for teachers planning to teach Euskara at higher education institutions abroad. The course is offered at the Vitoria-Gasteiz campus of the University of the Basque Country. The academic programme includes subjects related to the Basque language, education and culture, and is generally taught by both university teachers and HABE officers.
