The Council for Galician Culture, the Institut Ramon Llull and the Etxepare Basque Institute have opened a call for established and emerging translators who wish to take part in a poetry translation residency in Faberllull (Olot, Catalonia).

The aim of the event is to provide a space for working, reflecting and sharing. The residency will be divided into two parts:  group activities to encourage exchange among residents including meetings where other translators and authors provide guidance and inspiration; and an individual section where participants develop their own translation projects.

Participants will be eligible to take part in literary festivals in the organisers’ home territories.

The residency takes place from April 1 to 8, 2022 and includes half-board. Return travel is also included as is a fee of 350 euros. The deadline for registration is November 15.

This initiative is the result of a collaboration between the Council for Galician Culture, the Ramon Llull Institute and the Etxepare Basque Institute to advance the diffusion, exchange and promotion of literature in the Galician, Catalan and Basque languages.
