Euskara. Kultura. Mundura.
The Frank Bidart Chair, promoted by the Etxepare Basque Institute at California State University, Bakersfield (CSUB) offers a unique opportunity for those seeking a research or artistic residency in 2025.
The selected individual will receive a one-month residency to pursue a research or artistic project related to Basque culture. During this time, they will collaborate with the academic community at CSUB and connect with various members of the local society. During this time, their work will involve giving lectures and hosting public activities to promote the project and share the knowledge generated.
Created in 2022 at CSUB´s Institute for Basque Studies, the Frank Bidart Chair honours the American poet of Basque origin, a prominent literary figure and winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry, among other accolades.
