BIME PRO Bogota 2023: Basque. Music.

The next edition of BIME Bogota will be held from 3 to 7 May 2023. The Basque band Oreka TX will participate on May 4 in the showcase organised by the platform. Basque. Music.

The platform for the internationalisation of music in the Basque Country, promoted by The Musika Bulegoa (Basque Music Office), the Etxepare Basque Institute and the Basque Government, will once again be at BIME in Bogotá, Colombia, to build artistic and professional bridges between Latin America and the Basque Country.

• 3 May, at 14:30: Basque. Music.´s pitching.
• 4 May, at 10:00: Music. Music. - Colombia. working groups. This meeting will analyse the projects that the Basque delegation can tackle in the future with the Colombian delegation.
• 4 May, at 19:30: Showcase by Oreka TX, on the stage of the Parque de la Araña (San Felipe Creative District).
• 5 May, Basque. Music. will participate in the professional panel "Partnering: the importance of ´being part´, keys and good practices" together with agents from Brazil, Spain and Colombia.

In addition to the activities that will be organised at BIME, on 2 May Musika Bulegoa will take part in the Seremus 2023 seminar organised by the Idartes Institute at the National University of Colombia, together with professionals and experts from Colombia and Mexico.

The International Music Industry Conference (BIME), which began eleven years ago in Bilbao, is moving to the Americas for the second year running.

Every year BIME brings together music industry professionals from over 50 countries. The Bogotá programme keeps the essence and innovative spirit that have earned the event international acclaim. Many of the wide range of topics, including artistic trends, festivals, sustainable development, technological innovation, recorded and live music, platforms, startups and legislative frameworks, will be discussed in panels, workshops and master classes.

Basque music will be prominent this year in Bogota. Basque music industry professionals, artists and companies will take part conferences, business meetings, showcases and conferences.

In the first week of May, Bogotá will become the centre of innovation, technology, networking and the future of the music industry. BIME is an important event that seeks to create a space to reflect on the challenges an industry in constant transformation.
