2017/09/20
Euskara. Kultura. Mundura.
Once again, Basque cinema will be presented at the London Spanish Film Festival with its own section. Basque Window will feature three Basque productions from September 21 to 24, backed by the Basque Etxepare Institute.
This eighth edition of the Basque Window will begin with the premiere in London of Pedro Aguilera´s film ´Demonios tus ojos´ ( ‘Sister of Mine’, 2017) on Saturday, September 23. The latest film by Álex de la Iglesia, ‘El Bar’ (‘The Bar’, 2017), will also be screened in London, followed by the short film ‘Renovable’ (´Renewable´) by Basque directors Jose Mari Goenaga and Jon Garaño. The space dedicated to Basque productions will wrap up with the screening of ‘Gernika’ (2016) by Koldo Serra.
In this 13th edition, the festival has programmed a series of activities in which it aims to generate a question and answer period immediately after the screenings. This way, the production teams themselves will talk about their experiences by interacting with the audience.
