Another year, Basque performing arts will be represented at leading international festivals thanks to dFERIA Abroad, the window created by dFERIA to publicize Basque performing arts abroad, and the Etxepare Basque Institute. Several Basque artists are participating in international festivals in spring and summer this year.

Several Basque artists are participating in international festivals in spring and summer this year.

Brazil, Poland, Spain, Argentina and Colombia are the host countries. On April 23, the contemporary dance company Cielo Raso was at the Funarte festival in Brasilia, Brazil, with their show Winter Garden. On May 8, the Kukai dance company performed Oskara at the Kontrakunkt Festival in Szczecin, Poland. On July 10, Marie de Jongh took her performance Amour to the Maps market in Tenerife.

Several shows are also scheduled in the coming months. On August 30, 31 and September 1, the dance and theater company Ertza will travel to Buenos Aires to perform their latest work Meeting Point at the Tecnópolis festival. Finally, the International Theatre Festival of Manizales (Colombia) will host the theatre company Kulunka and their work Solitudes on September 21 and 22.
