EZEZEZ will take part in the ESNS festival with BASQUE. MUSIC. This year’s festival will run from 5th and 18th January in Groningen, Netherlands, where the Bilbao band will offer a showcase on Friday 16th at 7:50 pm.

ESNS is one of Europe’s leading music festivals and one of the most important gathering places for international music professionals. In addition to showcasing the talent of each country, the event fosters new musical projects. Every year, 4,000 international delegates and representatives from over 400 music festivals gather at the venue.

BASQUE. MUSIC. is a platform created to promote the internationalisation of the music industry in the Basque Country. It serves as a tool for promoting creators, musicians, record labels, as well as management and booking companies in professional markets and festivals worldwide. BASQUE. MUSIC is made up of Musika Bulegoa, the Etxepare Basque Institute, and the Basque Government.

EZEZEZ

EZEZEZ is Unai Madariaga, Eneko Ajangiz, Álvaro Olaetxea and Mikel Irigoyen. Music is just as important to the band as all the other aspects surrounding it. Their commitment to the "do it yourself" ethic, along with their boundless creativity, drives the band to compose, write, play, record, mix, and master all their songs on their own. Added to this are the graphics, videos and styling. EZEZEZ handles every aspect of the band themselves to create a distinctive and powerful sound and image – and they succeed. As one of the most intriguing bands in the current music scene, their electrifying live performances have taken them to festivals like BIME Bilbao, Bilbao BBK Live, Monkey Week, Azkena Rock, Sonorama, and many others.

In late November 2024, EZEZEZ released ‘Puntofinal’, the first single off their third album. ‘Puntofinal’ is an explosion of punk energy with a funk soul (it´s super dancy) that glides like a katana in the hands of a ninja: subtle, elegant and forceful. Narrated in their own Euskoñol (a mix of Spanish and Basque) and loaded with irony and poetry, ‘Puntofinal’ is a reflection on identity and acceptance, exploring how receiving love can help us find and validate our place in the world.

Merina Gris, Zetak, and Divorce From New York are Basque bands that have taken part in previous editions of the ESNS festival.
