Basque culture in the international Book Fair of Buenos Aires

The stand number 1899 of the Buenos Aires International Book Fairin organized by Juan de Garay Foundation, the Federación de Entidades Vasco Argentinas federation and the Basque Delegation, has become a showcase for the Basque Culture between April 24- May 2, within this important meeting for publishers.
Apart from showing remarkable references of Basque editions, this year they also organized some events. On one hand, Toti Martinez de Lezea signed books and offered a lecture within the festival’s schedule. On the other, they also presented some other books: “Basque homeland in Argentina” by Magdalena E. Mignaburu Berhok; “Amerikanuak” by the photographer Kepa Etchandy, and “Basque soul”, by the Brasilian-Basque author Ana Luiza Etchalus. The last one was supported by Aizpea Goenaga, the director of the Etxepare Basque Institute and Sara Pagola, the representative of the Basque Delegation in Argentina-Mercosur.
