Basque culture in Paris: the show Makila will be performed tomorrow

On January 31 the show Makila will be performed in Paris, at the Théâtre Armande-Béjard. This project is based on dance and song and has been organized by two institutions of the Eskual Etxea of Paris (Gazteriak and Gernika), in collaboration with Euskal Kultur Erakundea and the Etxepare Basque Institute.
Dancers, singers, musicians ... Makila brings together about 60 people on stage. They will present the most emblematic songs and dances of the Basque country, most of them accompanied by live music. The show which wants to help the development of Basque culture in Ile de France will start at 20:00.
This project created by the Basques and Basque culture lovers living in Paris is based on ancient choreographies. All participants have joined their wisdom, and the values and customs that have learned to create a witness that has been named Makila.
