March will undoubtedly be a good month for Basque cuisine. On the one hand, Washington DC will host the festival Iberian Suite: Global remix arts festival on March 2-24, where Hasier Etxeberria will present two films about cooking and Basque chefs, within the Culinary & Film section, with the support of Etxepare Basque Institute .
Iberian Suite is an international festival that fuses different artistic disciplines: theater, dance, music, visual arts, literature, design, cuisine, and film-making are fused at The Kennedy Center in Washington. The journalist, documentary filmmaker and author of several books on Basque cuisine Hasier Etxeberria will present two documentaries about cooking and Basque chefs in the festival. After each screening discussions will be conducted by Etxeberria.
On March 7, the documentary produced by the Basque Culinary Center and EiTB Euskadi: Cocina en la Cumbre will be screened. Subijana, Arzak, Eneko Atxa, Argiñano, Arbelaitz, Berasategi ... the most emblematic Basque chefs talk about cooking in the documentary directed by Francisco Javier Gutiérrez and Jon Arregui.
On March 8, on the other hand, they will show the work Juan Mari Arzak: Etxe bat da Mundua by Hasier Etxeberria. This is a documentary about one of the most famous Basque chefs.
