#ScotlandGoesBasque is a cultural programme sponsored by the Etxepare Basque Institute showcasing first-rate Basque creative talent in Scotland. It seeks to forge bonds between Scotland and the Basque Country through culture, art and language. Several Basque artists will participate in two of the most important Scottish festivals on the summer season: the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the Edinburgh International Book festival.

Atlantik 1050

The result of an exciting youth exchange between Scotland and the Basque Country, Atlantik 1050 explores traditional dance styles in both countries and closes the 1,050-nautical-mile gap between the two cultures.

Basque Literature at the Edinburgh International Book Festival. August 10-18

Leading figures in the Basque literary scene will engage in conversation with other cultures in nine events featuring music, food and an extraordinary form of poetry, bertsolaritza.
