About literary translation, with Eider Rodriguez through the ´Mintzanet´ platform
Euskara. Kultura. Mundura.
The recording of a new video-chat through the platform ‘Mintzanet’ is already online (April 11). The Basque writer Eider Rodriguez chatted with the students of the Adam Mickiewicz University - Poznan (Poland) with the help of the reader Amaia Donés.
They talked about ‘Literary translation’, and the Basque writer based on her own experience to answer the questions that the student made.
The program started as a result of the joint work between the Etxepare Basque Institute and the Mintzanet platform -of the group Maramara*-, and thanks to it Basque artists and agents have offered training sessions from the Basque Country to the Institute students at international universities.
The writers Mark Kurlansky, Eider Rodriguez, Unai Elorriaga, Itxaro Borda, Arantxa Urretabizkaia and Karmele Jaio, the professors Iván Igartua and Iñaki Martinez de Luna and the verse improviser Miren Amuriza (she will offer a talk on November) are the participants. They have offered training sessions to university students in France, USA, Poland, Czech Republic, Catalonia, Germany and Italy about several subjects: Basque language, language policies, history, translation, literature, cinema or Basque verse improvising.
